Description The Affirmative Action Office is seeking exceptional candidates for the position of Title IX Coordinator. Reporting directly to the Associate Vice President for Affirmative Action, the Title IX Coordinator is responsible for leading efforts across the University to ensure compliance with federal Title IX policies and related federal and state statutory and regulatory requirements regarding sexual harassment, sexual misconduct, dating violence, domestic violence, stalking and gender based discrimination. This position will also monitor gender equity and the application of Title IX policies within Intercollegiate Athletics. The Coordinator will keep abreast of current state and federal laws, regulations and trends related to Title IX and provide ongoing consultation regarding Title IX requirements, grievance issues, and compliance programs to central administrative units and groups, as well as to the Commonwealth Campuses. The Coordinator will organize and maintain grievance files, disposition reports, and other compiled records regarding complaints of sexual harassment and other gender discriminatory practices, and prepare annual statistical reports on the incidences of gender and sexual harassment and sexual misconduct. This job will be filled as a level 4, or level 5, depending upon the successful candidate's competencies, education, and experience. Typically requires a Master's degree or higher plus five years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience for a level 4. Additional years relevant job experience, preferably in an educational setting, and demonstrate excellent judgment, organizational, interpersonal and communication skills written and oral , as well as leadership experience in the area of Title IX. Additionally, the successful candidate must have the ability to work effectively and promote collaboration in a multi-campus, highly interdisciplinary environment.
